Bear’s Den at Reunion – Video Update

All of our combined efforts required 3 moving trucks, 10 movers, 3 furniture assemblers, 2 drape installers, 1 artwork installer, 2 glass top and mirror fabricators, the lead interior designer and 3 of her staff.

Custom Home Design – Seeing Is Believing!

At McNally Custom Homes, we have enjoyed making full advantage of our team of digital rendering experts.
Now our prospective owners can readily visualize their dream homes, long before the dirt is even dug on their undeveloped lots.
More importantly, most prospective Central Florida home owners live out of state, or are non US Citizens, making the reliance upon digital media even more significant.
Modern digital renderings and artists impressions are completely invaluable to the luxury custom home builder.

Can you imagine parting with your life savings for something that you can’t even visualize?
Builders once sketched out designs as 2 dimensional floor plans and trusted that the client was happy with the architect’s judgement.
Even if the occasional client could ‘read’ drawings, the chances were that something ended up as a surprise in the final home.
Unexpected design oversights were every architect’s and builder’s nightmare.
Those unintended mistakes lead to compromised homes that lasted a lifetime!

Digital Renderings – A New Era of Customer Satisfaction!

Thankfully, with our digital interpretations, we can smooth the way for a successful custom build.
Once the preliminary designs are agreed, the McNally architects can create a detailed CAD file (CAD = Computer Aided Design)
From that, we begin the painstaking design of the home’s aesthetic detailing.
Elevations are styled and discussed with clients, and we home in on the eventual feel of the home and its landscaping.
At this point, the design team develops the all important renderings that translate those technical line drawings into ‘a real home’.

Once the renderings are completed, two important processes begin!
The McNally design and construction teams work together to identify areas that will improve the home’s function and appeal.
Floor plans are great, but renderings offer an added perspective of how the finished home will actually be.
Here’s an example of what we look for in renderings;

  • Any aesthetic improvements that can be made (large ’empty’ walls etc)
  • How materials and paintwork interact (we can change colors at the click of a button!)
  • Do any areas of the home lack curb appeal?
  • Will large windows need some consideration for privacy etc
  • Does the home need more or less detail to maximize the aesthetic appeal?
  • How does the home interact with nearby buildings of sight lines etc
  • What landscaping will accentuate the appeal of the home?
  • How sunlight affects the home during parts of the day

Once we adjust those initial points, we send the first pass to the client.
The responses are always positive, even if the client spots something that they’d like to change.
Replies always include words like ‘Wow’ or ‘Awesome’ once the client has quickly viewed the design.
This is the client’s opportunity to explore the design and add their feedback to the McNally design team.

From that point, we can adjust the detailing even further, or if the client requests; offer different angles of the home and produce ‘3D’ flyovers and 360 tours of the home’s exterior or interior.

Our general business goal at McNally is to exceed our customer’s expectations, by building the finest luxury custom homes within Central Florida.
Advanced design processes are a wonderfully productive and satisfying way of achieving that!

International Builder Show Drops in at Reunion!

2017 International Builders Show – Orange County Convention Centre

Orlando was the proud host of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) annual exhibition last week.

Importantly for Reunion Resort, 4 bus loads of investors, developers and prospective home owners descended on the community to view the magnificent luxury homes in our prestigious golf community.

The intrigued visitors had booked an ‘industry excursion’ of the region to embark upon a whistle stop tour of 5 luxury home builders from the Master Custom Builder Council within the Central Florida region.
Reunion Resort was represented in the itinerary by McNally Homes President, EJ McNally to offer a ‘before and after’ perspective of the build process.
One of McNally’s 2014 9 bedroom homes on Castle Pines (9394 sqft) was presented by 5 Star Villas Inc offering an insight into the appeal of Reunion Resort’s thriving vacation rental market.

The construction process itself was showcased showcased with McNally’s astonishing 22,000 sqft – 3 floor mansion that is currently in progress on Grand Traverse Parkway.

Reunion Resort Realtor, Cesar Lopez supported EJ McNally during the event, and we caught up with him to find out more about the questions being asked.

“We were definitely encouraged by the interest shown by the industry’s leading figures during the ‘Reunion’ portion of the NAHB showcase.
The delegates seemed to be caught off guard by the level of detail, innovation and high specifications in our luxury vacation rental homes.
The fact that McNally Homes showcased 2 homes speaks volumes about the appeal and quality of their team’s workmanship.
